Cindy and Jason, the visionary owners of Bear Hollow Wood Carvers, who embarked on a journey to infuse their unique flare into a cabin rental business they acquired a few years ago. With a passion for creativity and a desire to breathe new life into the property, they set out to transform it into a haven that exudes the unmistakable Bear Hollow charm.
In 2023, Cindy and Jason's vision took a giant leap forward when they floated the idea of building a monumental figure on the grounds of French Lick Cabins. This ambitious project sparked the imagination of their talented chainsaw carving crew, and thus, the Bear Hollow Build Team was born. In April of that year, their collective creativity and dedication converged, giving birth to not only Otis the Sasquatch but also a dynamic team of builders who are reshaping landscapes and creating wonders beyond imagination. Join us on this exciting journey as we continue to push boundaries, defy expectations, and bring monumental dreams to life.

"In April 2024, the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Celina, OH welcomed an extraordinary addition to our community—a 27-foot tall Sasquatch, brought to life by the talented team at Bear Hollow Wood Carvers. Months of collaboration with their team resulted in a one-of-a-kind creation that perfectly reflects our local spirit. Affectionately named “Nelson”, this giant is a captivating centerpiece for visitors of all ages.
Working with Bear Hollow Wood Carvers has been an outstanding experience. Jason and Cindy are experts at bringing visions to life, guiding us through every step, from the initial design to the finishing touches. They have made the entire process smooth and enjoyable and have continued to work with us on promoting Nelson through cross-marketing efforts. Our relationship with Bear Hollow Wood Carvers spans over 15 years, and we couldn’t be more excited about continuing our partnership. We look forward to bringing even more GIANT projects to the fairgrounds in the future!
